NanoNO is an experimental **nitric oxide-releasing nanoparticle** designed to provide sustained intratumoral delivery of nitric oxide for cancer therapy, particularly hepatocellular carcinoma. The published preclinical work describes NanoNO as a PEGylated nanoscale carrier that prolongs nitric oxide exposure in tumors, leading at low doses to **tumor vessel normalization**, improved perfusion, enhanced delivery and activity of co-administered anticancer therapies, and reprogramming of the tumor microenvironment toward a more immunostimulatory state. It has been reported in mouse models of primary and metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma as a platform intended to potentiate chemotherapy, TRAIL-based therapy, and cancer vaccine immunotherapy rather than as a conventional standalone cytotoxic agent.
