Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nanoprimer is an engineered **liposome-based nanotherapeutic platform** developed by Nanobiotix through its Curadigm division to transiently increase the systemic exposure of subsequently administered intravenous therapeutics. Rather than acting as a conventional single-agent drug, it is designed to **temporarily occupy hepatic clearance pathways of the mononuclear phagocytic system**, especially via **scavenger receptor-A on Kupffer cells and liver sinusoidal endothelial cells**, thereby reducing rapid liver uptake and clearance of co-administered agents. In preclinical studies, this approach has been explored to enhance the bioavailability and activity of diverse IV therapies including lipid nanoparticles carrying siRNA, irinotecan-loaded liposomes, oncolytic viruses, gene therapies, and other nucleic acid therapeutics across oncology and other indications.
