Overview

The nanoSFERIC cancer vaccine is an early-stage, protein nanoparticle-based immunotherapy currently in preclinical development by Sferogen for the treatment of various oncology indications. Utilizing Sferogen's proprietary nanoSFERIC platform, the vaccine is engineered to present tumor-associated antigens (TAAs) in a highly organized, multivalent format. This structural arrangement is designed to mimic the repetitive patterns of pathogens, thereby enhancing recognition and uptake by antigen-presenting cells (APCs). The primary goal of the vaccine is to stimulate a robust and specific anti-tumor immune response, potentially involving the activation of cytotoxic T lymphocytes and the production of antibodies to target and eliminate malignant cells expressing the specific cancer antigens.
