Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nanovac is an intranasal nanoparticulate vaccine platform based on soluble nano-spheres containing synthetic mini-proteins designed to induce mucosal and systemic immunity against SARS-CoV-2 and related betacoronaviruses. Developed by Intravacc in collaboration with Leiden University Medical Center, the formulation delivers engineered coronavirus antigens to the upper respiratory tract via nasal spray, aiming to elicit broad neutralizing antibody and T cell responses that block infection at the portal of entry and provide cross-protection against COVID-19, SARS-1, MERS, and other betacoronaviruses.[6]
