Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nanowin Plus is a topical pain relief gel and muscle relaxant developed and manufactured by Microwin Labs. It is formulated as a fixed-dose combination containing diclofenac diethylamine, linseed oil, methyl salicylate, and menthol. Diclofenac diethylamine is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) to reduce prostaglandin synthesis, thereby alleviating pain and inflammation. Methyl salicylate and menthol act as counterirritants; methyl salicylate is metabolized to salicylic acid (which also inhibits COX enzymes) and activates TRPA1 and TRPV1 channels, while menthol activates TRPM8 channels to produce a cooling sensation that interferes with pain signal transmission. Linseed oil provides additional anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting arachidonic acid metabolism. Nanowin Plus is indicated for the fast and effective relief of muscle pain, joint pain, strains, sprains, spasms, cramps, backache, sciatica, and arthritis.
