Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nanoxel M is a micellar formulation of docetaxel, developed by Samyang Biopharmaceuticals Corporation. It is an antineoplastic agent primarily used in the treatment of various cancers, including breast cancer, non-small-cell lung cancer, prostate cancer, ovarian cancer, head and neck cancer, and esophageal cancer. As a taxane, its mechanism of action involves promoting microtubule assembly and inhibiting their depolymerization, thereby stabilizing microtubules and disrupting the normal dynamic reorganization of the microtubule network essential for cell division. This formulation aims to reduce side effects associated with conventional docetaxel formulations.
