The **NANT Melanoma Vaccine** is an investigational cancer vaccine under the NANT Cancer Vaccine platform, designed as a multi-modal immunotherapy regimen targeting melanoma and other cancers. The approach combines metronomic low-dose chemotherapy and radiotherapy with a proprietary natural killer (NK) cell-based therapy. The vaccine strategy aims to reverse immune-suppressive tumor microenvironments, induce immunogenic tumor cell death, and reengage NK and T-cell responses against melanoma-associated antigens, with the goal of improved long-term cancer remission and reduced toxicity compared to traditional regimens. The vaccine leverages NantKwest's NK cell technology and personalization strategies such as the GPS Cancer molecular profiling platform. Development is led by NantKwest (now part of ImmunityBio) and other entities founded by Patrick Soon-Shiong. As of 2017, the program was initiating trials in a range of solid and hematological cancers, including melanoma, though much of the published trial data is derived from earlier studies in pancreatic and hematological cancers[4][6].
