Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nao Mai Yi Hao capsule is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine. It is designed to tonify qi, activate blood circulation, and resolve phlegm to regulate the 'sea of blood in the brain.' The capsule is primarily investigated for the prevention of post-stenting cerebrovascular events in patients with symptomatic cerebral artery stenosis, and has also been studied in preclinical models of cerebral ischemia. It is thought to promote angiogenesis and neurological recovery, potentially through the up-regulation of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression.
