Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Naoluoxintong granule is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formulation originating from the Xin'an medicine school. It is composed of seven ingredients: Radix Astragali, Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Radix et Rhizoma Notoginseng, Rhizoma Gastrodiae, Scolopendra, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, and Flos Carthami. Developed by the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is used for the treatment of recovery-phase ischemic stroke, particularly in patients characterized by qi deficiency and blood stasis. The formulation is believed to promote cerebral vascular regeneration (angiogenesis) and neuroprotection, potentially by activating the VEGFA/VEGFR2 pathway, inhibiting the p38 MAPK pathway, and downregulating DNA methylation in the NogoA/RhoA/ROCK pathway.
