Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NaoXinQing is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) pharmaceutical product developed and manufactured by Guangzhou Baiyunshan Hutchison Whampoa Traditional Chinese Medicine Co., Ltd. It is a standardized extract derived from the leaves of *Diospyros kaki* L.f. (persimmon leaves), primarily composed of total flavonoids. The drug is indicated for the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, most notably ischemic stroke, coronary heart disease, and angina pectoris. Its therapeutic mechanism involves improving cerebral and coronary blood flow, reducing blood viscosity, and inhibiting platelet aggregation. Additionally, NaoXinQing provides neuroprotection by scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS) and downregulating the expression of inflammatory adhesion molecules such as ICAM-1 and VCAM-1, which helps mitigate damage during ischemia-reperfusion injury.
