Overview

Naptumomab estafenatox is a recombinant fusion protein used as a tumor-targeting immunotherapy. It consists of the antigen-binding fragment (Fab) of a monoclonal antibody directed towards the tumor-associated antigen 5T4, fused with a mutated form of the superantigen staphylococcal enterotoxin E (SEA/E-120). This fusion protein enhances the immune system's ability to recognize and kill tumor cells by activating T lymphocytes. It is being developed for the treatment of various solid tumors, including non-small cell lung carcinoma, renal cell carcinoma, and pancreatic cancer.
