Overview

NarcoStem is an umbilical cord blood-derived biologic developed by Campbell Neurosciences, a spin-off of Therapeutic Solutions International. Currently in preclinical development, the drug is formulated as an inhalable product intended to treat addiction and drug-induced brain damage. Its therapeutic mechanism involves stimulating the brain to produce its own Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), a key neurotrophin often referred to as a 'master molecule' for its role in controlling brain function and neuroplasticity. NarcoStem is designed to concurrently reduce neuroinflammation, suppress addiction-associated urges, and promote the repair of damaged nerve tissue.
