Overview

Nardoguaianone L (also known as G-6) is a sesquiterpenoid natural product isolated from the roots and rhizomes of *Nardostachys jatamansi* DC., a plant traditionally used in Chinese medicine known as Gansong. It has been identified as a potential therapeutic agent for pancreatic cancer. Research indicates that nardoguaianone L inhibits the proliferation, colony formation, and migration of pancreatic cancer cells (such as the SW1990 line) and induces apoptosis. Its anti-tumor activity is primarily mediated through the regulation of the MET/PTEN/TGF-beta signaling pathway. Quantitative proteomics has shown that it modulates the expression of over 140 proteins involved in critical biological processes, including cell motility and survival, making it a candidate for further development in oncology.
