Overview

Narlumosbart is a humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody that targets the Receptor Activator of Nuclear Factor Kappa-B Ligand (RANKL). Developed by CSPC Pharmaceutical Group, it is designed to inhibit the interaction between RANKL and its receptor RANK, which is a critical pathway in osteoclast formation, function, and survival. By blocking this pathway, narlumosbart reduces bone resorption and is primarily indicated for the treatment of unresectable or surgically difficult giant cell tumor of bone (GCTB). It was approved by China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in 2023, offering a therapeutic alternative to denosumab with potentially improved safety or efficacy profiles in specific patient populations.
