Overview

NAS-911B is a clinical-stage peptide therapeutic being developed by New Amsterdam Sciences. It is a synthetic analogue of the neuropeptide Substance P and acts as a modulator of the Neurokinin 1 (NK1) receptor. The drug functions as a neuro/immunomodulator and stem cell proliferator, designed to reduce inflammation and leverage the body's intrinsic homeostatic mechanisms to respond to injury. NAS-911B is currently under investigation for multiple indications, including idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), influenza infection, solid tumors (cancer), and wound healing. The compound is being advanced through study partnerships with academic leaders including the Vaccine and Gene Therapy Institute of Florida, the University of Rochester, and Harvard School of Medicine.
