Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nasoar is an over-the-counter (OTC) nasal irrigation product developed and manufactured by Myralis Indústria Farmacêutica in Brazil. It is supplied as a white, odorless, slightly crystalline powder composed of sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate, which is reconstituted with filtered or boiled water to create a saline solution for nasal lavage. The product works mechanically on the nasal mucosa to fluidify and remove excess mucus, allergens, environmental irritants, and other compounds from the nasal passages. This physical cleansing action results in local decongestion and improved nasal hygiene. Nasoar is available in both adult and pediatric formulations (Nasoar Infantil, recommended for children 2 years and older) and is commonly used for the relief of symptoms associated with rhinitis, sinusitis, and general nasal congestion.
