Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NasoClenz is an over-the-counter nasal antiseptic cleansing kit consisting of a proprietary cleansing wand and a topical gel whose active ingredient is **benzalkonium chloride 0.13%**. The primary action is to decrease bacteria on the skin of the anterior nasal vestibule, helping to reduce bacteria that can cause skin infections. The gel is specially formulated to be moisturizing, non-alcohol based, and suitable for the sensitive inner nasal lining. The kit is intended to improve nasal hygiene, reduce exposure to airborne pollutants, allergens, and pathogens, and is also marketed for use in people with dry nasal passages (e.g., from CPAP therapy, travel, or allergies). The formulation and product design were developed by Dr. Gail Lebovic in collaboration with med-tech engineers. NasoClenz is made in the USA and complies with FDA requirements[1][2][4][6][7][8][9][10][13][14][15].
