Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NASOX is an investigational combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of liposomal irinotecan (nal-IRI), oxaliplatin, and S-1 (an oral fluoropyrimidine combination of tegafur, gimeracil, and oteracil potassium). Developed by Asan Medical Center, the regimen is designed as a more convenient, oral-fluoropyrimidine-based alternative to standard infusional FOLFIRINOX or NALIRIFOX regimens, eliminating the need for continuous 5-fluorouracil infusion via central venous catheterization. NASOX is primarily being evaluated as a first-line treatment for patients with locally advanced or metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma, as well as in the neoadjuvant and adjuvant settings for resectable pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
