Overview

NAT-DP4 TK is a T cell clone engineered to be specific for the HLA-DPB1*04:01/04:02 allele, which is a human leukocyte antigen (HLA) class II molecule. This clone was selected for its ability to produce high levels of interferon-gamma (IFNγ), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNFα), and interleukin-2 (IL-2) upon recognition of its target. The "TK" designation typically refers to the inclusion of a thymidine kinase suicide gene, which allows for selective elimination of the cells if needed, enhancing safety in adoptive cell therapy protocols. The primary application is in adoptive T cell therapy, where such engineered T cells are used to target specific antigens presented by HLA molecules on tumor or infected cells[7].
