Overview

Natagrev is a topical ophthalmic antifungal formulation containing 5% w/v natamycin, developed and marketed by Grevis Pharmaceuticals. It is a small molecule macrolide antifungal agent indicated for the treatment of fungal infections of the eye, including keratitis, endophthalmitis, and conjunctivitis caused by susceptible fungi. Natamycin works by binding to ergosterol in the fungal cell membrane, which alters membrane permeability and leads to the leakage of essential cellular constituents, thereby inhibiting fungal growth. It is typically supplied as a 5ml vial for topical administration to the eye.
