Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Natesto is a bioadhesive intranasal gel formulation of testosterone, an androgen hormone. It is indicated for testosterone replacement therapy in adult males with conditions associated with a deficiency or absence of endogenous testosterone, such as primary hypogonadism (congenital or acquired) and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (congenital or acquired). The drug delivers exogenous testosterone via the nasal mucosa to restore physiologic levels in men with low or absent endogenous production. Natesto is not intended for use in women or children under 18 years old and is classified as a Schedule III controlled substance due to its potential for abuse[1][4][5][6].
