Navco-500

Navco-500 is a generic formulation of the glycopeptide antibiotic **vancomycin**, developed and marketed by **Vaqure Remedies**. It is typically provided in a 500mg dosage form for parenteral administration. Vancomycin exerts its bactericidal effect by inhibiting the second stage of bacterial cell wall synthesis in susceptible gram-positive organisms. It specifically binds to the D-alanyl-D-alanine terminus of cell wall precursor units, thereby blocking the transglycosylation and transpeptidation steps required for peptidoglycan cross-linking.
