Overview

Navicixizumab + paclitaxel is a combination therapy under investigation for the treatment of platinum-resistant ovarian cancer, including fallopian tube and primary peritoneal cancers. Navicixizumab is a bispecific monoclonal antibody that targets both delta-like ligand 4 (DLL4), a Notch pathway ligand, and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). By simultaneously inhibiting DLL4/Notch signaling and VEGF-mediated angiogenesis, navicixizumab disrupts tumor blood vessel formation and tumor cell proliferation. Paclitaxel is a well-established chemotherapeutic agent that interferes with microtubule function to inhibit cancer cell division. The combination has demonstrated promising clinical activity in patients who are bevacizumab-treated or naïve, with manageable toxicity profiles in phase Ib studies[1][2][4][6]. Navicixizumab was originally developed by OncoMed Pharmaceuticals; current development is sponsored by OncXerna Therapeutics[5][7].
