Overview

**NB-1002** is a glucagon-like peptide-2 (GLP-2) receptor agonist developed as an XTEN fusion protein, a recombinant polypeptide engineered by fusing GLP-2 with XTEN technology to extend half-life and improve pharmacokinetics for chronic administration. Initially developed by Amunix, Inc. and licensed to Naia Rare Diseases, it was designed primarily for short bowel syndrome, an orphan gastrointestinal indication, by promoting intestinal adaptation and nutrient absorption. Its development has been discontinued globally.
