Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NB003 is a preclinical-stage monoclonal antibody developed by NeologicsBio that targets Carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 1 (CEACAM-1). CEACAM-1, also known as CD66a, is an inhibitory immune checkpoint protein expressed on various immune cells, including T cells, NK cells, and myeloid cells, as well as on many types of solid tumor cells. By binding to CEACAM-1, NB003 is designed to block its immunosuppressive signaling and homophilic/heterophilic interactions, thereby restoring and enhancing the anti-tumor activity of the immune system. This therapeutic approach is being investigated for the treatment of various solid tumors where CEACAM-1 mediated immune evasion is a significant factor.
