**NB2111** is a synthetic analogue of cannabidiol (CBD) developed by Nemus Bioscience in collaboration with the University of Mississippi. It demonstrates dose-dependent analgesia comparable to opioids like morphine in animal models of neuropathic pain, including cisplatin-induced neuropathy and tactile allodynia, without strong binding affinity to cannabinoid receptors unlike THC. NB2111 exhibits anti-addictive activity against opioids, crosses the blood-brain barrier, shows preferential liver sequestration potentially useful for fibrosis, and maintains molecular stability in gastric/intestinal pH without converting to THC. Early preclinical data support exploration in chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN), migraine, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, anti-inflammatory conditions, and liver fibrosis, with planned industrial scale-up and formulation development including alternative routes like ocular (as NB2222), buccal, nasal, and transmembranous.[1][3][5][7][9][13]
