Overview

NBI-921355 is an investigational small molecule drug that acts as a selective inhibitor of voltage-gated sodium channels Nav1.2 and Nav1.6. It is being developed for the potential treatment of certain types of epilepsy, with its primary mechanism aimed at stabilizing hyperexcitable neuronal membranes to prevent seizures. The drug was originally discovered by Xenon Pharmaceuticals and is being co-developed with Neurocrine Biosciences[1][4][5]. As of early 2025, it remains in Phase 1 clinical trials for epilepsy[1][7].
