Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NBL-023 is a monoclonal antibody targeting interleukin-25 (IL-25), currently under development by NovaRock Biotherapeutics. IL-25 is a member of the IL-17 cytokine family that acts as a potent initiator of Type 2 inflammation by activating group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) and Th2 cells. By blocking IL-25 signaling, NBL-023 is designed to suppress the production of downstream cytokines like IL-4, IL-5, and IL-13, which are central to the pathogenesis of allergic and inflammatory diseases. The drug is being investigated for the treatment of asthma, atopic dermatitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and ulcerative colitis, and is currently in the IND-enabling phase.
