**NBP607-QIV** is a cell culture-derived inactivated quadrivalent influenza vaccine (cIIV4) developed by SK Bioscience (a subsidiary of SK Chemicals) using MDCK cells. It targets four influenza strains—A/H1N1, A/H3N2, B/Yamagata, and B/Victoria—providing broader protection than trivalent vaccines against mismatched B-lineage strains. Phase III trials in Korean adults (19–59 years) and elderly (≥60 years) demonstrated non-inferior immunogenicity to shared strains and superiority to alternate B strains versus trivalent controls (NBP607-Y and NBP607-V), meeting CHMP criteria with seroconversion rates of 43.7–55.8% and good safety (mostly mild solicited local/systemic ADRs like pain/tenderness/myalgia).[1][5][6] It was the first licensed cIIV4 worldwide, authorized by Korea MFDS in December 2015, with additional studies in children (6–35 months) vs. Agrippal and in adolescents showing comparable immunogenicity/safety.[2][3]
