Overview

NBX003 is a preclinical-stage recombinant biologic being developed by Tium Bio for the treatment of Hemophilia A. It is designed as a long-acting Factor VIII (FVIII) replacement therapy. The molecule utilizes Tium Bio's proprietary Transferrin Fusion Protein (TFP) technology, which involves fusing the FVIII protein with transferrin. This fusion is intended to extend the half-life of the factor in the bloodstream by leveraging the transferrin receptor-mediated recycling mechanism, thereby reducing the frequency of injections required for prophylaxis in patients with Hemophilia A.
