NC-4016 is a polymeric micellar nanoparticle formulation that encapsulates DACH-platin (1,2-diaminocyclohexane platinum), an active metabolite of the platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent oxaliplatin. Developed to improve the delivery and efficacy of platinum chemotherapy agents while reducing toxicity, NC-4016 leverages the enhanced permeability and retention effect for tumor targeting. In preclinical studies and early clinical trials, NC-4016 demonstrated superior antitumor efficacy compared to oxaliplatin in vivo models and showed reduced neurotoxicity (notably less cold hypersensitivity) relative to conventional oxaliplatin therapy. The drug is being investigated primarily for advanced solid tumors and lymphoma[1][2][3][4][5][6].
