NC-6004 + fluorouracil + cetuximab

NC-6004 + fluorouracil + cetuximab is an investigational combination regimen comprising three antineoplastic agents: NC-6004, a nanoparticle-based formulation of cisplatin designed for enhanced tumor targeting and reduced nephrotoxicity through micellar encapsulation; 5-fluorouracil (fluorouracil), a pyrimidine analog antimetabolite that inhibits thymidylate synthase and disrupts DNA synthesis; and cetuximab, a chimeric monoclonal antibody targeting the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), thus blocking downstream signaling and cell proliferation. This combination is being explored as a first-line treatment in patients with recurrent or metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck[7].
