NC-6100 is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic developed by NANO mRNA (formerly NANO MRNA Co., Ltd.) for the treatment of solid tumors, with a primary focus on breast cancer. The drug targets PRDM14 (PR domain-containing protein 14), a transcriptional regulator that is frequently overexpressed in various cancers and plays a pivotal role in maintaining cancer stem cell populations, promoting metastasis, and conferring resistance to chemotherapy. NC-6100 utilizes a proprietary delivery system consisting of calcium phosphate (CaP) hybrid micelles. These nanoparticles are designed to protect the siRNA from degradation in the bloodstream and selectively accumulate in tumor tissues through the enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect. By silencing PRDM14 expression, the therapy aims to disrupt the oncogenic signaling pathways that drive tumor growth and recurrence.
