Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NC-iMSC is an iPSC-derived mesenchymal stem cell (iMSC) therapy developed by Citius Pharmaceuticals through its subsidiary NoveCite, under an exclusive worldwide license from Novellus Therapeutics. The therapy leverages Novellus's patented mRNA-based cell reprogramming technology to generate the iMSCs. It is intended for the treatment of acute inflammatory respiratory conditions, with a primary focus on Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) associated with COVID-19. This therapy aims to overcome manufacturing and potency challenges associated with traditional donor-derived stem cells.
