Overview

NC-MSC is an induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived mesenchymal stem cell (iMSC) therapy being developed by NovoCare in partnership with Factor Bioscience. By utilizing iPSCs as a starting material, the program aims to overcome the limitations of traditional donor-derived MSCs, such as limited scalability and donor-to-donor variability, providing a more consistent and potent therapeutic product. NC-MSC is designed to exert anti-inflammatory and tissue-repair effects through the secretion of various paracrine factors and direct cellular interactions. It is currently being investigated for the treatment of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) and Elomas Syndrome, with development progressing through preclinical and IND-enabling stages.
