Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NC001 is an investigational natural killer (NK) cell therapy developed by Jiangsu Province Hospital for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. As an adoptive cell-based immunotherapy, NC001 utilizes the innate cytotoxic potential of NK cells to recognize and eliminate malignant cells that have become resistant to standard-of-care treatments. The therapy works by inducing tumor cell lysis through the release of perforin and granzymes and by triggering apoptosis via death receptor pathways. NC001 is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 investigator-initiated trial (IIT) in China (ChiCTR2600123168), which is a single-arm, dose-escalation study designed to assess the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary antitumor activity of the NK cell injection in adult patients with refractory advanced solid tumors.
