Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NC318 + docetaxel is an experimental combination therapy consisting of NC318, a monoclonal antibody targeting Siglec-15, and docetaxel, a taxoid antineoplastic chemotherapy agent. Docetaxel acts by stabilizing microtubules and inhibiting their depolymerization, thereby preventing cell division and promoting apoptosis in cancer cells[1]. NC318 is under investigation as an immunotherapy that blocks Siglec-15, a suppressive molecule in the tumor microenvironment. Combination with docetaxel is being explored to enhance anti-tumor immune responses in advanced cancer, notably non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). This combination is hypothesized to provide additive or synergistic anti-cancer effects through cytotoxic action and immune checkpoint modulation.
