Overview

Antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs) designed to target and suppress the expression of nc886, a noncoding RNA. nc886 (also known as vtRNA2-1 or pre-miR-886) is a regulatory noncoding RNA transcribed by RNA polymerase III that acts as an inhibitor of protein kinase R (PKR). By depleting nc886 using modified antisense oligonucleotides, these therapeutics activate PKR and trigger apoptotic cell death pathways.
