nCAR19-T is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by the Second Military Medical University for the treatment of B-cell malignancies. The therapy consists of a patient's own T cells that have been genetically engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor targeting CD19, a surface protein highly expressed on B-cell leukemias and lymphomas. Upon infusion, these engineered T cells recognize and bind to CD19-positive cells, leading to targeted cell lysis and tumor reduction. The clinical development of nCAR19-T has primarily focused on recurrent or refractory B-cell leukemia and B-cell tumors, evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials (such as NCT02644655) where it is typically administered following a lymphodepleting conditioning regimen of cyclophosphamide and fludarabine.
