Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NCD-1001 (IsoDent Paro) is a topical oral rinse developed by Nocendra for the management of inflammatory oral conditions, including periodontitis, gingivitis, peri-implantitis, and oral mucositis. Unlike traditional antimicrobial mouthwashes that focus on direct bacterial killing, NCD-1001 utilizes a patented Cl-Dextran resolution medium. This approach is based on the biology of Specialized Pro-resolving Mediators (SPMs), which actively modulate the host's tissue response to promote the resolution of inflammation and facilitate tissue repair. By stimulating the resolution phase of the innate immune response, NCD-1001 helps restore homeostasis in the oral cavity without the use of conventional antibiotics or antiseptics. It is currently approved and marketed for dental and oral care applications.
