Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NCEL-101 is an investigational stem cell therapy being developed by NewcelX for the treatment of Type 1 Diabetes. The therapy is designed to provide a functional source of insulin-producing cells to restore glycemic control in patients. NewcelX has entered into a strategic collaboration with Eledon Pharmaceuticals to evaluate NCEL-101 in combination with an anti-CD40 monoclonal antibody. This combination strategy aims to suppress immune rejection and enable long-term engraftment of the transplanted cells without the requirement for broad-spectrum, chronic immunosuppression.
