Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NCP112 is a peptide-based agonist of the formyl peptide receptor 2 (FPR2) developed for the treatment of inflammatory diseases, most notably atopic dermatitis and dry eye syndrome. By activating FPR2, NCP112 promotes the resolution of inflammation and aids in tissue repair, offering a novel mechanism compared to traditional immunosuppressants. The drug was originally developed by NovaCell Technology and subsequently licensed to Huons for the development of ophthalmic formulations. Clinical studies have focused on evaluating its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics through topical skin application and ocular administration in healthy volunteers.
