Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ND-BT8226 is an investigational drug candidate being developed through a research and collaboration agreement between **BioArctic** and **Eli Lilly**, announced in June 2026. The project utilizes BioArctic's proprietary **BrainTransporter** technology, which is designed to facilitate the active transport of biologics across the blood-brain barrier (BBB) by targeting the **transferrin receptor (TfR)**. In this collaboration, the BrainTransporter platform is combined with an undisclosed Eli Lilly proprietary molecule to address neurodegenerative diseases. Under the terms of the agreement, BioArctic received an upfront payment of $30 million and is eligible for up to $770 million in milestone payments, plus royalties. Eli Lilly is responsible for the global development and commercialization of the resulting drug candidate.
