Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ND059 is a multispecific antibody being developed by Numab Therapeutics in collaboration with Boehringer Ingelheim for the treatment of geographic atrophy (GA), a progressive and irreversible retinal disease affecting patients with age-related macular degeneration (AMD). The drug leverages Numab's proprietary multispecific antibody platform technology, which enables the engineering of bi- and multi-specific antibodies designed to target novel mechanisms of action. The collaboration, announced in 2020, aims to develop transformative antibody-based therapeutics for retinal diseases, with Boehringer Ingelheim holding exclusive worldwide rights to develop and commercialize the resulting candidates. At the time of available information, the program was in preclinical development stages.
