Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ND3014 is a monoclonal antibody therapeutic in preclinical development by BioArctic for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The drug targets TAR DNA-binding protein 43 (TDP-43), a protein that forms toxic aggregates implicated in the pathogenesis of ALS and other neurodegenerative diseases. By selectively inhibiting TDP-43, ND3014 aims to reduce or prevent the formation of these aggregates within nerve cells, potentially achieving a disease-modifying effect and slowing or halting disease progression. The project is currently at the research/preclinical stage and has not yet entered clinical trials[1][2][3][4].
