Overview

NDV-HUJ is an oncolytic virus derived from the HUJ strain of Newcastle disease virus. It selectively replicates in cancer cells, exhibiting up to 10,000 times more effective replication in human cancer cells than in non-neoplastic cells. This virus works by interacting with cellular pathways including Rac1 protein signaling and inducing cell death in cancer cells. NDV-HUJ has been primarily investigated for the treatment of recurrent glioblastoma multiforme (GBM).
