Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NEAT1_2 antisense oligonucleotide (NEAT1_2 ASO) is a target-specific RNA-targeted therapeutic designed to knock down the expression of the long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) isoform NEAT1_2. NEAT1_2 is a critical structural scaffold required for the assembly of nuclear paraspeckles, which are membrane-less nuclear bodies that sequester double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) and microRNAs to promote tumor progression and suppress anti-tumor immune responses. By utilizing antisense oligonucleotide technology to target and degrade NEAT1_2, researchers aim to disrupt paraspeckle formation, restore interferon-alpha (IFNα) signaling, and induce anti-tumor immunity. This approach is being investigated preclinically for the prevention of invasive and metastatic progression in ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) and other malignancies.
