Overview

Nebaprubart (JJP-1212) is a first-in-class humanized IgG4-kappa monoclonal antibody developed by JJP Biologics. It acts as an antagonist of CD89 (FcαRI), a receptor present on neutrophils and other myeloid cells that mediates IgA-driven inflammation. By blocking CD89, nebaprubart prevents the binding of IgA immune complexes, thereby interrupting downstream inflammatory pathways at their source and reducing tissue damage. The biologic is being developed for a broad range of IgA-mediated autoimmune, inflammatory, and fibrotic diseases, including Linear IgA Disease (LAD), rheumatoid arthritis, and IgA nephropathy. It has received Orphan Medicinal Product designation from the European Commission for the treatment of Linear IgA Disease.
