Overview
**Nectero EAST System** is an investigational, single-use endovascular drug-device combination product developed by Nectero Therapeutics for small- to medium-sized infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm. The system uses a dual-balloon catheter to locally deliver a single dose of a stabilizer infusion solution containing pentagalloylglucose into the aneurysmal aortic wall. Pentagalloylglucose binds elastin and collagen, with the intended effect of reinforcing extracellular-matrix structural proteins, stabilizing the aortic wall, and slowing aneurysm enlargement and rupture risk. The product leaves no permanent implant and is being evaluated against surveillance in the randomized Phase 2/3 stAAAble study.
