The Nectin4 nanoantibody indocyanine green probe is an investigational molecular imaging agent designed for targeted cancer diagnostics. It combines a nanobody (nanoantibody) specific for the tumor-associated antigen Nectin-4 with the near-infrared fluorescent dye indocyanine green (ICG). The nanobody component enables high specificity and affinity binding to Nectin-4, which is overexpressed in various cancers such as urothelial carcinoma, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, gastric cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, and bladder cancer[2][6]. The ICG moiety allows real-time fluorescence imaging during surgical or diagnostic procedures. This combination aims to improve tumor visualization and margin delineation by providing both molecular targeting and strong optical signal in vivo. Indocyanine green is FDA-approved for fluorescence imaging of vessels and lymphatic mapping but lacks inherent tumor specificity; conjugation with a Nectin-4-targeting nanobody addresses this limitation[1][3]. The primary indication under investigation is image-guided surgery or diagnostic imaging of tumors expressing high levels of Nectin-4.
